Downtime & Aftercare
Downtime varies depending on the strength of the peel used and may include temporary redness, tightness, dryness, flaking or peeling of the skin. Please follow the personalised aftercare advice given by your practitioner, avoid picking or peeling the skin, avoid excessive heat and strenuous exercise in the initial days following treatment, and use a broad-spectrum SPF daily.
Contraindications & Suitability
Skin peel treatment may not be suitable if you have any of the following:
- Active infection or open wounds
- Active or inflamed acne in the treatment area
- An eczema or psoriasis flare-up
- Recent waxing or other advanced treatments
- Use of certain prescription medicines or active skincare products
- A history of poor healing or raised scarring
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding, depending on the product used
